Beauty on the Blog: August Favourites

I can't believe that it's already September. August past by so quick. So, this means that it is once again monthly favourite's time. I've been using these products that I mention very frequently this month, more than usual. I honestly can say, these products were beyond the expectations after I read some reviews before I bought them. They are all drugstore products or within that price range. I truly recommend all these products to you guys! I hope you enjoy this post and you try them as well!

1. Maybelline New York - Lash Sensational

This product was by far the best purchase from this whole list! I've heard many people raving about this specific mascara and how great it is. So, I thought that I should try it out myself. I really bought this product because the other mascara was running out. It is one of the best drugstore mascara ever made. I purchased it at my local Walmart. It was $6.96, but at many places I checked the price ranges can go from $5-10. The packaging of this mascara was unique. It isn't a regular cylinder. It has a very interesting shape. The application isn't hard but if you really wanna see why this is amazing, you definitely have apply many coats. The one thing that very amuses me is that whenever I apply it, it never left any clumps like most do. It was just smooth and you couldn't see any. That was a very big bonus. I got it in the "very black" and the waterproof one, so, the durability lasted long. The consistency like I mentioned before was very smooth not very clumsy but a little messy, but what mascara isn't. I will leave a link of the exact mascara I purcashed below!

2. Ceramic Glaze - Long Lasting Shine

This product was purchased a while back ago but I never did come around to using it, until this month. I purchased this product at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. It was $10.98 (i know it was very pricey), but I bought it for a special occasion that time so, price really didn't matter to me. I purcashed this in the colour: Russian Rouge. It is a very pretty red. In between, a red and maroon. It makes my skintone look lighter, which I love! The consistency is pretty good knowing that I bought it about 2 years ago. How long it lasts depends on what you do. The more you do activities, the less time it will last. For me the full nail polish lasts about 1 week and a half. I've had this nail polish colour the whole month on my hand. I always loved red nails on any skin tone, but never did I thought it would suit me. One thing I would like is that maybe the brush can be a bit smaller because it feels bulky when you hold it, in my opinion.I know that some of you would might like to purchase this nail polish so, I will leave a link below.

3. E.L.F. Concealer

I've heard a lot of things about the brand E.L.F. A lot of people say that their products are good quality but very cheap, espically their eyebrow products, so I thought I should try it out. I bought the E.L.F. Concealer, in the shade, Honey. One minor thing that I don't like about this particular concealer is that there is only 3 different shades and even this concealer is lighter than me. So, I only use this for my dark under eye circles and then put my powder on top to match my skin tone. The quality of this concealer is good. You do have to apply 2-3 coats to get the opaque look. The packaging is really simple and easy, so I like it. The concealer actually lasts very long. I only bought this for $3 but it was really worth it. I will leave a link to it below.

4. M.A.C. Lipstick

So, I recently needed to change up the colours of my lipstick. So I visited my local M.A.C. store. I usually go with the red scheme because that is the only colour lipstick that suits me. I bought the colour "Media" in A19. It has a hint of purple but mostly a red and maroon colour. I love dark lipstick so, this is the most perfect colour. I've actually had this for a while then, I finished and never went back to it until now. The packaging of this product is easy. This lasts a very long time espically if I apply the translucent powder on top. The consistency is great. Just applying one coat makes it very opaque. I give this 4 out of 5 stars. I think that this costed around $20, which is kind of pricy but this doesn't finish out until a good 4-6 months for me. I will leave a link below!
